Stars, Canadian indie-pop band, are back so soon with a brand new single, “Ship to Shore”, released at the end of March. In support of the band’s good friend, John Bil, Stars wrote this song to express Bil’s “love for life”. Stars’ Amy Millan encourages everyone to “raise a glass, have a dance, share the feeling,” as stated in a recent press release, while listening to this track.

“Ship to Shore” presents listeners with a smooth dream-pop sound, giving the urge to dance and sing along with Millan’s soft lyrics. Here in dreary Pennsylvania, it gives a sense of spring fever with warmer days and hope ahead.

October 2017 brought the release of the band’s eighth full studio album, There is No Love in Fluorescent Light. This album is the epitome of an indie-pop album that is full of love, loss, with the splash of optimism that every heart wants and needs.

Stars will be kicking off their new tour in light of the band’s recent album release in Moncton, New Brunswick later this week. They will be blessing Pennsylvanian’s in late April with stops in Millvale at Mr. Smalls Theater, and Philadelphia at Union Transfer. For a complete list of tour dates and more, visit Stars online and on various social media platforms. Be sure to grab your tickets and Tessellate will see you in Millvale.
